Does converting PNG to JPG lose quality?+

Converting to JPG applies lossy compression, so some image data is discarded. At 85-90% quality, the difference is invisible to the human eye. Always convert from the original PNG, not a re-compressed version.

What happens to transparency when converting PNG to JPG?+

JPG does not support transparency. Transparent areas are filled with white by default. If you need to preserve transparency, keep the PNG format instead.

How do I convert an iPhone HEIC photo to JPG?+
