Free Online Business Tools

Processing depends on the tool. Some business tools run in your browser, while others use secure server processing when needed. No account needed.

Sole traders, freelancers, and small-business owners spend a surprising amount of time producing the same documents over and over: an invoice for a client and a tidy expense record from a bank statement. Mid-market accounting tools (QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks) solve this, but they are subscription-priced and overbuilt for someone sending three invoices a month. The tools below cover the most common business-document tasks with a single visit, no account, and no monthly fee.

Documents generate as polished, print-ready PDFs with your branding, addresses, line items, and tax math handled correctly. Bank-statement parsing runs on-device against published bank format patterns rather than sending the statement to an OCR API. Everything respects the same browser-only architecture as the rest of this site, which matters here because invoices and bank statements include client names, transaction amounts, and account numbers you should not be uploading to a free third-party service.

Common workflows

Real situations these tools were built for.

Issue an invoice to a client

Pick a template, fill in client details, add line items, set the tax rate, download. The PDF is ready to email or print.

Invoice Generator

Pull transactions from a bank statement

Drop a PDF statement from any of 20+ supported banks, get a clean CSV of dates, amounts, and merchant names: ready for your spreadsheet or accounting tool.

Bank Statement to CSV

Choosing between similar tools

Tools that look alike but solve different problems.

Invoice Generator vs editing a PDF

Use the first when
You are billing a client and want a structured document with an invoice number, due date, line items, and automatic tax math: use the Invoice Generator.
Use the second when
You already have a finished invoice as a PDF and only need to tweak a field or add a signature: use Edit PDF or Sign PDF instead.

Bank Statement to CSV vs manual data entry

Use the first when
You need every transaction from a multi-page statement and the bank does not offer a CSV export (or does, but charges for it).
Use the second when
You only need 1-3 transactions or the statement is image-only: manual entry is faster than uploading the file and verifying parsing accuracy.

How your files are processed

The Invoice Generator and Bank Statement to CSV converter run in your browser: your client names, amounts, and transaction data stay on your device and are not uploaded to build the invoice or the spreadsheet. Because financial documents are sensitive, this on-device approach matters. You remain responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of anything you create; these tools are productivity helpers and do not provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice.

Tips for best results

  • On an invoice, include a unique invoice number, issue date, due date, your details, the client's details, itemized lines, and the tax rate: these are what make it valid for accounting and payment.
  • Set the correct tax rate before adding line items so totals and tax are calculated automatically; double-check the final figures before sending.
  • When converting a bank statement, review the CSV against the original PDF: parsing accuracy varies by bank layout, especially for multi-line or image-only statements.
  • Keep a copy of every invoice and receipt you issue; good records make tax time and disputes far easier.
  • Only process statements you are authorized to handle, and store the exported CSV securely.

Frequently asked questions

About this whole category. For tool-specific questions, see each tool page.

Can I use these invoices for actual paid client work?

Yes. The PDF output is professional, printable, and contains every field a paid invoice needs (invoice number, dates, line items with quantities, sub-total, tax breakdown, total). Many freelancers and small businesses use the generator for monthly client billing. Tax/VAT/GST math is handled automatically based on the rate you enter. There is no watermark or "made with X" footer on the output.

Are my client details and amounts uploaded?

No. The invoice generator runs entirely in your browser. Client name, address, line items, amounts: all of it stays in the browser tab where you typed it. The PDF builds locally and downloads directly. We have no server-side log of what you entered or what you generated.

Can I add my own logo and branding?

Yes. The invoice generator accepts a logo upload (PNG with transparent background works best) and lets you set primary and accent colors to match your brand. The logo is embedded in the PDF, not linked, so the document renders the same on the recipient's side without internet access.

Which banks does the statement parser support?

Currently 20+ banks across the US, UK, EU, and India, including major chains like Chase, Bank of America, HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds, and Wells Fargo. The parser uses bank-specific PDF layout patterns to extract transactions reliably. For banks not yet supported, the tool will attempt a generic parse: successful for ~60% of unsupported formats. The full supported list appears on the tool page.

Can I save and reuse invoice templates?

Each session keeps the last template choice and branding in localStorage so a return visit pre-fills your usual setup. For multi-client workflows where you bill different rates or in different currencies, a dedicated accounting tool with proper template storage (Wave, Zoho Invoice, FreshBooks) is a better fit. This generator is optimised for one-off and low-volume invoice creation.

Is the bank statement parser legally allowed to read my statement?

Yes. The statement is your own document and the parsing happens entirely on your device. No data leaves your browser. This is functionally equivalent to opening the statement PDF, copy-pasting transactions into a spreadsheet, and saving as CSV: just much faster. No bank ToS forbids you from converting your own statement to a different format for personal use.
