1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ImageAndPDF.com ("Service", "Website", "We", "Our"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

2. Service Description

ImageAndPDF.com provides free, browser-based and server-assisted tools for working with PDF documents, images, and videos. The platform is built and maintained by Kummari Achyuth (see About). Current categories include:

• PDF Tools: Merge, split, compress, organize, rotate, extract pages, add page numbers, sign, redact, edit, protect with AES-256 encryption, unlock, repair, OCR scanned PDFs, PDF/A conversion, plus Word/Excel/PowerPoint ↔ PDF.
• Image Tools: Resize, compress, convert (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, TIFF, AVIF, BMP, GIF), crop, rotate, flip, watermark, AI upscaler, AI background removal, filters, batch convert, photo collage, metadata viewer, favicon generator.
• Video Tools: Convert, compress, trim, video-to-GIF, extract audio.
• Business Tools: QR generator and similar lightweight utilities.

Some tools run entirely in your browser (for example our PDF editor uses pdf-lib and Fabric.js client-side; image cropping, rotating, and meme generation use the HTML canvas API). Other tools require server-side processing — PDF compression uses qpdf via pikepdf, OCR uses Tesseract, HEIC conversion uses libheif, and Office-format conversions use LibreOffice headless. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time without prior notice.

3. Use License & Restrictions

Permission is granted to use ImageAndPDF.com for personal and commercial purposes, subject to the following restrictions:

• You may not modify, copy, or reproduce our website code or software
• You may not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any software
• You may not remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• You may not use our services to violate any laws or regulations
• You may not upload malicious files, malware, or viruses
• You may not use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
• You may not attempt to overload or disrupt our servers

4. User Responsibilities

When using our services, you are solely responsible for:

• Content Ownership: Ensuring you have the legal right to upload and process all files
• Copyright Compliance: Not infringing on any intellectual property rights
• Privacy Laws: Complying with applicable data protection and privacy regulations
• Data Backup: Maintaining backups of important files before processing
• Appropriate Use: Not uploading illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Account Security: Protecting any access credentials (if applicable)

5. File Processing & Privacy

Automatic File Deletion: Files processed on our servers are automatically deleted within 1 hour. We do not permanently store, access, or review your files. Files processed entirely in your browser are never uploaded in the first place.

Minimal Data Collection: We collect only the data necessary to run the service: anonymous usage analytics (Google Analytics), browser type, and IP address (kept temporarily for security and rate-limiting). Secure Processing: All file transfers are encrypted using SSL/TLS protocols. Files are processed in isolated environments and deleted after processing as described above.

IP-Based Rate Limiting: To prevent abuse, we implement IP-based rate limiting and usage restrictions.

6. Prohibited Uses

You explicitly agree NOT to use our services for:

• Processing files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Uploading content that violates intellectual property rights
• Processing illegal or unauthorized content
• Distributing spam, phishing materials, or fraudulent content
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
• Circumventing security features or access controls
• Launching denial-of-service attacks or excessive requests
• Processing content that is harmful, hateful, discriminatory, or violent

In addition, you may not use ImageAndPDF.com to:

• Remove copyright notices or watermarks from content you do not own
• Circumvent intellectual property protections
• Create false financial records
• Produce fraudulent invoices
• Generate misleading documentation
• Commit fraud
• Misrepresent transactions
• Alter banking information
• Violate copyright laws
• Violate trademark laws

7. Service Availability & Quality

No Guarantees: While we strive for 100% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our services. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may cause temporary disruptions.

Processing Quality: We use industry-standard algorithms and best practices, but we cannot guarantee perfect results for all file types or content. Output quality may vary based on input file quality.

File Size Limits: We reserve the right to impose reasonable file size limits to ensure fair usage and optimal performance for all users.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties of non-infringement or compatibility
• Warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or quality of results
• Warranties of uninterrupted or error-free service
• Warranties regarding security or data integrity

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IMAGEANDPDF.COM AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from use or inability to use our services
• Damages from unauthorized access to or alteration of your files
• Damages from errors, bugs, or defects in our services
• Damages from third-party actions or content

YOUR SOLE REMEDY IS TO DISCONTINUE USE OF OUR SERVICES.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ImageAndPDF.com, its operators, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your Content: You retain all rights to files you upload. By using our services, you grant us a temporary license to process your files solely for the purpose of providing our services.
