    Scan the QR code with your phone

    Open your phone camera and point it at the QR code. Your phone just needs internet — it does not have to be on the same Wi-Fi network.

    Capture your document pages

    The mobile interface opens automatically. Tap the capture button for each page.

    Edit, crop and download

    Pages appear in real time on your desktop. Reorder or remove any page, adjust crop corners, choose auto-enhance or original colour, then download your PDF.

Do I need to download an app?+
No. The mobile scanner opens entirely in your phone browser — nothing to install.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?+
Yes. It uses the standard browser camera API, supported by Safari on iOS and Chrome or Firefox on Android.
Do both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi?+
No. Your phone just needs any internet connection. The QR code opens a link to imageandpdf.com and all communication goes through our servers.
Are my documents stored?+
No. Files are held in temporary server storage for up to 1 hour then automatically deleted. Nothing is retained after your session ends.
How many pages can I scan?+
There is no hard limit. For best results scan up to 20-30 pages per session to keep file sizes manageable.
What does "Auto-enhance" do?+
Auto-enhance applies an adaptive threshold filter that turns the image into crisp black text on a clean white background — the classic photocopied look. "Original colour" keeps the image as-is after the perspective correction.
