Quick Answer

To crop a PDF online, open Crop PDF and drag a box around the part to keep. To split PDF pages in half or vertically, use Split PDF. To organize or rearrange pages, use Organize PDF. All free, in the browser, no sign up.

Three jobs people mean by “fix my PDF pages”

“Crop,” “split,” and “organize” sound similar but solve different problems. Pick the right one and the job takes seconds:

  • Crop PDF — trim white margins or cut a page down to a region. The page count stays the same.
  • Split PDF — separate the document into pieces, or break a two-up scan into single pages.
  • Organize PDF — reorder, delete, rotate, and rearrange pages without changing their content.

Crop a PDF online

Use Crop PDF to remove margins, cut out a chart, or tidy a badly scanned page.

  1. Go to imageandpdf.com/pdf/crop-pdf
  2. Upload your PDF
  3. Drag the crop box around the area you want to keep
  4. Apply to the current page or all pages, then Download

Cropping keeps the same number of pages — it only changes the visible area. To also shrink the file, run the result through Compress PDF.

Split PDF pages in half or vertically

Scanned books and double-page spreads often put two logical pages on one sheet. To split PDF pages in half — a vertical split down the middle so the left and right halves become separate pages — there are two approaches:

  1. Crop twice: with Crop PDF, save one copy cropped to the left half and another cropped to the right half, then merge them in reading order.
  2. Split the document: use Split PDF to break a multi-page PDF into the ranges or individual pages you need.

A horizontal cut (top and bottom) works the same way — crop to the top half and the bottom half. The principle is identical whether you split vertically or in half.

Organize and rearrange PDF pages

When the pages are right but the order is wrong, use Organize PDF to rearrange the PDF online:

  1. Open Organize PDF and upload your file
  2. Drag page thumbnails into the order you want
  3. Delete pages you do not need, or rotate sideways scans upright
  4. Download the reordered PDF

Frequently asked questions

How do I crop a PDF online for free?

Open Crop PDF, upload your file, drag a box around the area to keep, apply to one or all pages, and download. Free, no sign up, no watermark.

How do I split a PDF page in half or vertically?

Crop the page to the left half and the right half as two copies, or use Split PDF to separate the document. A vertical split keeps the left and right halves as separate pages.

How do I organize or rearrange PDF pages online?

Use Organize PDF to drag pages into a new order, delete, or rotate them, then download the rearranged PDF.

Does cropping a PDF reduce its file size?

Not always — cropping hides the trimmed area but the underlying content can remain. Run the cropped PDF through Compress PDF to shrink it.

His response was to build a suite of utilities that run almost entirely in the browser, using open-source libraries like pdf-lib, PDF.js, and ONNX Runtime, so files never have to leave the device for most operations. He works primarily on the platform's performance and privacy architecture: the rendering pipeline, the in-browser processing pathways, and the on-device AI models for background removal and image upscaling.
