What is the best image size for an Instagram post?+

The universally safe size is 1080×1080 px (1:1 square). For portrait posts, 1080×1350 px gives maximum screen real estate in the feed. Use 1080×1920 px for Stories and Reels.

Why does Instagram make my photo blurry?+

Instagram re-compresses images that exceed 1MB or are not the correct aspect ratio. Always upload at 1080px width and under 1MB. Our compressor can reduce the file size after resizing.

Does cropping happen automatically when I resize?+

Only if you change the aspect ratio. Use "Lock aspect ratio" when resizing to keep the full image and manually crop afterward if needed using the Crop Image tool.
