What is the difference between a transparent background and a white background?+

A white background is a solid white color, it looks white on white surfaces but shows a white box on colored backgrounds. A transparent background has no color, it adapts to whatever is underneath it, showing the page color or any design element behind the image.

Will the tool remove only the white background or also white areas inside the image?+
